“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest”…..Luke 19:38
Hosanna in the highest !!
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” !! Our Lord and Savior enters triumphantly into Jerusalem amid shouts of praise and glory to God. Crowds smoothed their coats on the roadway, covered them with palm branches to soften the path and keep dirt off of him. We see Jesus’ humility manifested as He arrives not mounted on a mighty steed but on a humble and peaceful donkey. On this Palm Sunday, as we begin Holy Week, we, too, offer worship and praise, holding palms during the procession, just as those did who lined the road long ago. Holding our palms speaks to our love and faithfulness to Jesus as Our Lord and Savior. May we bring our “palms” into our daily lives acknowledging our love of Jesus and His Good News and witness to others without hesitation or regret.
Lord Jesus, we place all our trust in You. Amen.
